Always trust the wisdom of Allah.

It is said the incident of Ashura, the case of Imam Husayn(as) is like a university due to the amount of lessons one can derive from it. In this case, we look at trusting the wisdom of Allah in all aspects of our lives and how that was applicable in Ashura.  There's a famous quote which says, "it is much better to lose a battle and win the war than to win a battle and lose the war. Resolve to keep your eyes on the big ball.” In other texts, "Lose Battles, But Win The War: Grand Strategy" Regardless of how it's said, the same message is implied. That is, look at the bigger picture. Try to attain the long term victory and not the short term victory. After the brutal massacre of Imam Husayn, along with his family and companions, the followers of Yazid, including Yazid himself claimed victory. The Search

I searched for mercy but did not find it anywhere. I asked people but was rejected, I looked into the seas and earth and found nothing. I searched for it until I found Al-Rahman ...  I searched for one to pardon my errors. I asked people but they were quick to judge. I searched for one to pardon my errors and did not find it anywhere until I found Al-'Afuw ...  I searched for my purpose, I searched for my reason, but did not find it anywhere until I found Allah .

The Seven Deadly Sins Series - Part 1, Envy/Jealousy

In this series, we will take a look at the seven deadly sins split into their own blog, to briefly dissect their meaning, harms and what Allah and Ahlul Bayt(as) have to say regarding them.   So which of your Lord’s marvels will you deny? (Sura Rahman) The existence of God is a question that people have debated, and questioned for many centuries. It is perhaps, one of the most commonly asked, and in some cases, fought over topics! But why? You see, we as humans have been created with an innate spiritual connection to Allah, whether you like to admit it or not, this is within everyone. Essentially, its a "Fitrah" (A natural Instinct).  This Fitrah sometimes guides us to certain paths, for example, when you get 'the feeling' of doing a particular action or saying a particular word. This is no coincidence, nor is 'the universe' speaking to you. Rather, it is the fitrah (natural instinct) present within your very soul, that is used to guide you towards Allah.  A basic example is when you observe young children. The first thing you need to do after establishing where you're going and how, is to pack all the essentials. Yes, essentials may be subjective, however there are certain things which everyone unanimously agrees are an absolute must. Such as, shelter, food, protection. If you really want to experience camping, you won't find an area in which your accommodation is in a hotel room, rather, you would get yourself a tent and this would be your 'shelter' for the duration of your stay.
